Here’s why our End Seal Tape™ has remained a favorite for so long:

End Seal Tape™ is a durable PVC tape, featuring a modified pressure-activated adhesive. The rubber-based adhesive exhibits outstanding water resistance along with excellent abrasion and chemical resistance because of the tough PVC backing.

The main use of the End Seal Tape™ is to prevent FBE, 3LPE, 3LPP and other external pipe coating systems from absorbing moisture and UV radiation at the cutback area during extended storage periods.

The End Seal Tape™ is also recommended to be used in conjunction with other preservation methods such as an endcap (to close off the pipes).

Once the Cap is applied on the pipe, it will cover part of the cutback (depending on the cutback length). The use of the End Seal Tape™ will be considered as an additional barrier, providing advantages such as sealing off the cap on the pipe and sealing off the cutback area of the plant applied pipe coatings against ingress of water.

The high-performance adhesive adheres quickly to most surfaces yet can be removed leaving little or no traceable residue. End Seal Tape™ allows for great temporary protection, easier surface preparation prior to welding of the pipe joints, and for the application of the field joint coating.
